Annual Big Dog Parade & Canine Festival
Leave it to the folks in Santa Barbara to come up with one of the coolest parades ever!
But don’t let the name fool ya–the Big Dog Parade and Canine Festival in Santa Barbara, Calif., is for dogs of all sizes.
On June 7, join in the U.S.’s largest dog parade, where over 1,200 dogs and 16,000 spectators converge in downtown Santa Barbara to celebrate all things canine.
Participants (and their furry friends) dress in hilarious costumes and strut their stuff for the judges in hopes of winning fabulous contest prizes and bragging rights.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Big Dog Parade and Canine Festival go to the Big Dog Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit charity that donates to charities that help dogs, children and dogs that help people.
