Some dogs love ‘em, and some don’t, but one thing’s for sure–when it comes to car rides, safety precautions are in order for sake of you and your pooch.
There are two major hazards in your car:
Automatic Car Windows
Whether he’s trying to look out the window or just jumping for joy, Fido could very well step [...]

Flyball is a team sport for dogs that was invented in California in the late 70s.
Legend has it that Herbert Wagner first showed it on the Johnny Carson Show to millions of Americans. Soon after, dog trainers and dog clubs were making and using Flyball Boxes.
In the early 80s, the sport became so popular that [...]

Join the Dogster community
Dogster is one of those websites that I find myself getting caught up in, and before I know it, hours have gone by.
Think of it as MySpace, but for dogs. (Cats get their day, too, via Catster).
While I never got very into MySpace, I have rather enjoyed “meeting” other dogs via Dogster.
Dogster features forums, [...]

I’m pretty hands on when it comes to taking care of my pets. I can pill a cat like nobody’s business, and I take care of all brushing, washing, walking and poop pick up regarding Greta.
So I wasn’t going to shy away from nail cutting, either (yes, I cut my cats’ nails regularly, too). I bought a [...]

Heartworn is spread by mosquitoes, and if not detected and controlled with treatment, can lead to congestive heart failure and death.
And although heartworm is more common in dogs, cats are not immune.

While I enjoy snapping pictures of Greta, I wish I lived near Sue Bird, because she is a genius with a camera.
I stumbled across her Etsy store a while ago, and I (of course) immediately bought this and this.
Sue offers canine photography packages in various sizes/price points, dog books she creates with pictures of your dog, [...]

Not to harp on the subject, but I feel pretty strongly about it.
So strongly, I recently wrote an article on the topic (of lost and found pets).
I’m hoping there comes a day when every dog owner ensures their canine sports a properly-fitted collar, identification tags and a current license.
Until then, I will continue to be a lost dog magnet.

Every day (usually when my husband gets home from work), our greyhound, Greta, spends a few minutes “telling” us all about her day.
It usually sounds something like, “Rooooo, roo, rooooor. Rooo ro rorororo.”
While we don’t know what she’s saying, we tend to join in anyway just for fun.
Check out these dogs that have a thing [...]

Now wine lovers and dog lovers can share both passions thanks to California-based Carivintas Winery, which lets you put your dog’s mug right on any of their bottles to create your very own one-of-a-kind wine.
Sure, it’s fun, and who doesn’t like wine, but the best part is that each purchase also helps a worthy cause. [...]
